Below are our reasons for each race.
STATEWIDE: In the US Senate Race, no other candidate has been better on our issues than current Attorney General Ken Paxton. Polling shows him with a commanding lead and it looks like he will be in first place going into the runoff. Both Governor Greg Abbott and Lt. Governor Dan Patrick made MAHA a priority last session, leading to the passage of over 25 MAHA-related bills last session - both are projected to win their primaries with more than 75% of the vote. In the race for Attorney General, there are a lot of good candidates, but Mayes Middleton had a 100% voting record on MAHA issues last session and authored the bill to ban soda and candy from SNAP. In the race for Ag Commission, Nate Sheets will fight for healthier school lunches and to advance regenerative agriculture.
CONGRESS: There are a lot of open seats in Texas this year, and there are several opportunities to gain new advocates in DC including Jessica Steinmann (CD 8), Briscoe Cain (CD 9), Chris Gober (CD 10), and Mark Teixeira (CD 21). Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz joined RFK in Austin last week to support the MAHA Agenda.
TEXAS LEGISLATURE: In the Texas Senate, Senator Bob Hall has been a CHAMPION FOR MAHA long before MAHA existed. He was the tip of the spear fighting against mandates during COVID-19 and last session was a founding member of the MAHA Caucus, authoring legislation to ban fluoride in Texas. In the Texas House, we have a number of strong MAHA advocates in Rep. Stan Gerdes, Rep. Ellen Troxclair, Rep. Caroline Harris Davila, Rep. Helen Kerwin, and Rep. Lacey Hull. All of these members had a 100% MAHA voting record last session and fought to advance MAHA bills. In HD 94, Texas has the opportunity Jackie Schlegel to elect Texans for Medical Freedom Founder Jackie Schlegel and gain a true advocate in the Texas House.
